Win Hodges, Patient Representative for the Ambulatory Practice of the Future

Win has worked for 40 years in publishing and communications. He is a member of the MGH Department of Medicine’s Ambulatory Practice of the Future steering committee and core design team. A 13 year lung cancer survivor, Win is committed to cancer care and is a member of the MGH Cancer Center Network for Patients and Families. He serves as a writer and editor for SUPPORT, a publication for Cancer Center patients and families by Cancer Center patients and families. Win has served on the Cancer Center Patients and Families Advisory Council since 2001 and has represented the Council at the Institute for Family Centered Care International Conferences. Win is active with the Kenneth B. Schwartz Center and is a charter member of the review committee for the Compassionate Caregiver of the Year Award.  He is a facilitator for Schwartz Center Rounds at 5 Boston hospitals and a member of the Lung Cancer Networking and Survivorship Networking Groups at The Wellness Community of Greater Boston. Win is a member of the Board of Directors of the Moon Balloon Project, a program that uses art to help children suffering from trauma or life threatening diagnoses to identify and express their feelings.
