Will Mongan, Executive Director, Healthcare Innovation, AstraZeneca

Will Mongan is Executive Director in AstraZeneca’s Healthcare Innovation Center.  The Innovation Center was created to research, identify and implement breakthrough approaches to improve healthcare.   Previously, he led the completion of strategic in-licensing and out-licensing transactions for AstraZeneca and the business development activity for AstraZeneca’s $4b maturing brands unit, Azenity.  He has also created a range of healthcare and care management collaborations on behalf of SDMS, the former disease management subsidiary of AstraZeneca.  He joined AstraZeneca more than ten years ago from a private law practice in corporate litigation and trained originally as a chemical engineer.
