Natalie Dupree, NHANES, Centers for Disease Control

Natalie Dupree is an epidemiologist with the National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS), which is part of the Centers for Disease and Control and Prevention (CDC). Ms. Dupree has been a member of the Planning Branch of the Division of Health and Nutrition Examination Surveys (DHANES) at the NCHS for 18 years. Her division conducts the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES). NHANES is a national, continuous health survey that collects both examination and questionnaire data on the U.S. population. As part of the NHANES planning branch, Ms. Dupree evaluates proposals for new survey content, conducts quality control assessments of current survey data, monitors interviewer and exam technologist training/performance and promotes NHANES data use through presentations at professional meetings. Prior to working at NCHS, Ms. Dupree worked for the Howard University Cancer Center, where she specialized in questionnaire development. She earned her BS degree in microbiology at Cornell University in 1984. She received her MS in biostatistics and epidemiology from Georgetown University in 1986.
