Michael Marquardt, President and CEO, MediGuide America

Prior to assuming the leadership role at MediGuide America, Michael served as President and COO at MediGuide.com, Inc. and as president of Internet Operations Center, Inc., one of the largest independent technology and consulting companies in the mid-western United States. Michael grew up in the divided city of Berlin and moved to the United States in 1991 to pursue a future in the world of medicine. As a graduate student at the University of Virginia, Michael became heavily involved in federally funded medical research that required strong and instant collaboration among world-leading medical centers. During the last several years, Michael has appeared on several national and international television programs and has been a guest lecturer at global conferences, discussing the potential of new information technologies in transforming business, medical services, government, and society at large.  Mr. Marquardt is a member of numerous associations and boards, including the American College of Healthcare Executives, the American Telemedicine Association, the Board of Directors of the Wellness Community of Delaware, a national organization dedicated to helping people with cancer, as well as the Better Business Bureau of Delaware and Cancer Care Connection, a non-profit organization dedicated to making valuable connections for cancer victims.
