Cindy Thompson President and CEO, MedHelp

In 1993, Cindy Thompson and Phil Garfinkel founded Med Help International, a non-profit organization that pioneered the field of consumer health information on the Internet.  Its website (www.medhelp.org) is consistently ranked among the Top 10 health websites on the Internet. The motivating force behind its creation is deeply personal to Cindy & Phil, who know the fear and frustration that a serious medical diagnosis can cause. Med Help provides a safe and reliable place to ask medical questions and receive personal answers from leading medical professionals affiliated with the best hospitals in America. Prior to Med Help International, Cindy was vice president of the first retained, search firm that specialized exclusively in senior level physicians within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.  During this time, she forged strong relationships with world-class medical experts, pharmaceutical companies and leading biotechnology companies.  Prior to Med Help, Cindy was a Girl Scout Leader for 7 years and a director on the Washington Rock Girl Scout Council board of directors (Westfield, NJ).  Previously she also served as publicity chair for The Christmas Bureau, Inc. (Plainfield, NJ).
