Ashok manages Monitor Technologies, a group within Monitor, an international consulting firm. Monitor Technologies (www.monitortechnologies.net) leverages a vast network of external technology experts, and customized tools and methodologies, to rapidly address client issues at the intersection of technology and strategy. In that capacity, Ashok has been involved with cutting edge business models and technologies in a variety of industries. Recently, he has been actively involved in the healthcare field focusing on the future vision of healthcare in general and telemedicine in particular. Ashok spent over 20 years at Arthur D. Little (ADL) before leaving them in year 2000 to become a founding executive at an Internet startup called IntellectExchange, which was a pioneer in the emerging field of expertise location and management (ELM). At ADL, he was a Vice President, providing consulting services in the area of globalization, visioning and strategy and technology management. Ashok received his Doctor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He has authored or co-authored numerous publications including a book on technology management. He is an active member of the Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) a group devoted to fostering entrepreneurship.
