Dr. Moore attended undergraduate training at The Ohio State University and obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy. She then attended the University of Cincinnati Medical College where she also completed her internship and residency in internal medicine. She completed her cardiology fellowship from 1997-2000 at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City Utah. Her fellowship included one year subspecialty training in advanced heart failure/heart transplantation and mechanical circulatory support. She was the Associate Director of the Utah Cardiac Transplant program for 4 years, which oversees the University of Utah, Primary Children’s Hospital, VA Medical Center, as well as LDS Hospital Transplant programs. She served on the board of directors of intermountain donor services as well as the governing board of the U.T.A.H. Cardiac Transplant Program. As a participating cardiologist in the Utah Artificial Heart Program , LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City, she actively has recruited patients for the REMATCH as well as Heart Mate II clinical destination therapy device trials. She has particular interest in immediate, intermediate, as well as chronic ventricular assist therapy. She is currently an Assistant in Medicine in the division of cardiology at the Massachusetts General Hospital as well as an Instructor in Medicine at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Moore has an active involvement in both the advanced heart failure/heart transplantation and ventricular support services at the Massachusetts General Hospital. She is a board member for Boston American Heart Association and is Co Chair for the Circle of Red, a passionate group of women that support the fight against heart disease for women. She is active in multiple national and international societies, board certified in both Internal Medicine and Cardiology.
