Dr. Grant is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of General Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. He serves as the Medical Director for Diabetes at the Center for Connected Health and in that capacity he provides clinical and research support for Connected Health programs to integrate home-based monitoring for diabetes and hypertension into clinical workflow.
 
Dr. Grant received his M.D. degree from the University of California, San Francisco, in 1996. After completing his residency in the MGH Primary Care Program, he earned an M.P.H. degree from the Harvard School of Public Health. His primary appointment is in the Division of General Medicine where he is an NIH-funded clinical investigator. His research focuses on identifying and overcoming barriers to effective management of chronic disease in primary care, with an emphasis on type 2 diabetes, hypertension, and hyperlipidemia.
